With the conclusion of the Omer counting, seven weeks after Pesach, the Holiday of Shavuot begins. This holiday is one of the Shalosh Regalim and it commemorates the day God gave the Torah on Har Sinai. Outside of Israel it is a two day holiday and there are special pizmonim for this holiday.
