The website went online on September 10, 2009 with about 20 recordings available but now contains more than 1000 recordings. As you can see in the picture above, we have had many visitors from around the world. The table below lists top ten countries and cities that regularly log in to the website. I'm very happy to see such excitement about Sephardic Hazzanut and would love to hear about your community.

ABOUT SEPHARDIC HAZZANUT WEBSITE

For years now I have been thinking about how I could pass on what I have learned to anyone who wants to learn about hazzanut. Additionally, as a baal Koreh, I noticed that many people have trouble singing the taamim properly and reading the Torah correctly. On Succot 2009, I had the opportunity to talk about the Sephardic Pizmonim Project with David Betesh. He explained to me what he was doing and that's how the Sephardic Hazzanut Project began. Also, I'm especially thankful to Harry Catton who, over the years, has encouraged me to record my Hazzanut.
